GETTING TO MILOS

Milos is connected with Piraeus and the Western Cyclades, almost daily, with ships and with the latest Catamaran technology. Extension of these routes arrives in Crete and Rhodes. During the summer season, Milos is connected to most of the Aegean islands. Olympic Airways makes daily flights from Athens to Milos, where flights are rising in the summer.

WHAT TO SEE

Among the most famous sights of Milos are THE KATKOMBES, the Ancient Theater, the Archaeological, the Folkloric and the Mining Museum, which is open to the public and worth visiting.

WEATHER & CLIMATE

The climate of Milos is Mediterranean and most of the time is sunny. The main factor of dew is the Cycladic meltemia (northern winds), which from mid-July until mid-August are almost daily.

On the island there is a Health Center located in Plaka and daily on a 24-hour basis.

ROADS

There are five gas stations and there are several car and engine repair shops for possible unfortunate occasions.

EXCURSIONS

From Adamas, small boats depart daily, making a round of the island stopping on several beaches for swimming and Kimolos for food.
From the beach of Kipos a boat begins on the beautiful beaches of Elder, Kleftikou.
From Pollonia you can visit neighboring Kimolos with a small open-type ferry-boat.
Also, for sailing enthusiasts, there are boats making unforgettable day trips.
